Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is defined as the refined application of physical pressure to the soft tissue of the body to:
• Alleviate pain
• Relieve restriction of movement
• Counteract the effects of stress
• Enhance the healing of injuries

Massage is an effective, drug-free way to neutralize stress. It is a well known fact that prolonged stress leads to a decrease in health as it can directly cause back pain, headaches, high blood pressure, insomnia, low energy levels and digestive issues.

Massage can also treat many acute conditions like:
• low back and neck pain
• tennis elbow
• chronic conditions (ex: frozen shoulder)
• repetitive stress injuries
• high blood pressure
• headaches

At the Toronto Wellness Centre we offer:

Shiatsu Massage: Japanese for finger pressure.

Reflexology: specific pressure points in the feet, which target organs and tissues throughout the body.

Hot Stone Therapy: heated natural stones are used to warm and relax the tissues in the body.
